Define the task first
A useful evaluation starts with a specific work moment: what should become faster, clearer or more reliable? “We want to use AI” is not an objective. A clearly described outcome makes providers, functions and limitations comparable.
Test with explicit criteria
A practical test needs a limited scope, suitable data and criteria defined in advance. Document result quality, human review, data processing and operating effort before making a broader commitment.
